Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
We thank you so much for your prayers this past month concerning the 2010 Medical Clinic. Amazingly, with that large of a group, there were no major problems. We thank the Lord for this.We were able to see and treat 1800 patients, who, more importantly, were also able to hear the gospel. Of those 1800, there were over 600 professions of faith. Please pray for each one, that we will be able to get them connected with a local church in their area and that they will grow in the Lord. I want to especially thank Fred Carlson and Go Forth Baptist Missions for donating their time, money, and talents to make this all possible.
We have several new things coming up in the next couple of months for which we could certainly use your prayers. Beginning in August, I will be teaching a class at Seminerio Bautista Macedonia. This will take quite a bit of preparation for me because, of course, the classes will be in Spanish. Also, I have been put in charge of Spanish Language School, which entails finding suitable teachers, planning schedules, and keeping the lines of communication open between students and teachers. In addition to this, I will be organizing our first Judgment Journey. This is a drama that will depict end times. We are in the process of finding sufficient staff (120 actors, 80 helpers). We have a supporting church, Faith Baptist in Lagrange, GA, who will be funding the drama as well as sending 20 people down to help.
With the clinic now over, we have also started up discipleship classes again with Giancarlo, Faye, and Jodie.Giancarlo is now attending church faithfully and is starting to ask good questions. Faye and Jodie will be headed back home in a couple of weeks. Please continue to pray for them as they have important decisions to make about the future. Also pray with us that the Lord will provide them with a good Church in Scotland and England.
Well, I feel we have neglected to update you all about the new little guy (we are still looking for a name). Bekah is six and a half months along and both her and the baby are doing very well. I think we are just now realizing what we have gotten ourselves into! Please pray that the Lord will give us the strength and energy to chase after two toddlers, as well as care for a newborn.
As always, we thank you all for your prayers and support. The Lord is using each of you in a mighty way, whether through prayer or financial support and we greatly appreciate all that you do.
Serving in Peru,
