Testimonies From Last Years Clinic

I found a few testimonies of team members from last year’s clinic that I want to share with you.

One member said: “The Lord has convicted me again of my impatience in waiting on His plans for me and not trying to make my own plans”.

A returning RN said: “I already know that I am called to missions, but the Lord used this trip in my heart to show me that it is possible- missionaries are normal people who want to be used of God to make a difference for Him. I am so excited that I had this opportunity to be shown of God that He CAN use me! He has increased my burden for the unsaved and furthered my desire to serve Him”. She continues: “It showed me just one of the many opportunities that American Christians have to serve Him on a short-term basis on the mission field. There are so many different occupational skills that are valuable in the mission field and it was great to see so many alumni come together and use the skills God gave them for His glory”.

Another said: “God has taught me to trust in Him more. To be honest, I didn’t want to go on the trip. One of the reasons was that I was embarrassed to ask people for money. But I had no choice, we were going to go☺. And then God provided for us above and beyond what we had asked for. He once again showed me that I should not limit His power to my capabilities”.

One doctor commented: “It was my first mission trip and won’t be my last. I wish I had gone on one sooner. Every Christian needs to visit the mission field, even if it is only a few weeks every few years. It keeps our minds and hearts open to life outside the US and will remind us to share our many blessings with others who are so desperate and needy”.

A husband and wife team: “He has given me more compassion towards the poor, needy, and sick. He has also touched me to see every person as a soul to minister to, not only the people we think of as in need of missionaries, but also our spouses, team-members, family, and friends”. His wife comments: “I would really like to go on another trip like this one, and I am praying about future medical mission opportunities. Before going on this trip, I had some interest in medical missions, but nowhere near as much as I have now. I would also like to encourage other PCC students/grads who I know to consider this kind of trip”.

Please pray that the Lord will use this year’s clinic in ways that will cause joy in the presence of the angles of God.
